The Purple Cow ice cream shop is organizing a bicycle ride from the shop in Lawrenceville to a Princeton University football game on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The 7.5-mile ride takes advantage of the trails connecting Lawrence and Princeton. There is no cost to participate in the ride, but any donations will be given to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Riders will leave The Purple Cow at 10:30 a.m. for a one-way, 7.5-mile ride along the Lawrence Hopewell Trail and Delaware & Raritan Canal Trail. Kickoff for the Princeton University football game is set for 12:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Football tickets can be purchased at Princeton Stadium.

For riders who aren’t interested in football, they can skip the game and continue into Princeton for lunch or further cycling. While riders leave together as a group, they may return on their own at any point in the day.

Parking for the event will be in the gravel lot of Lawrenceville Fuel on Gordon Avenue. Event organizers ask that riders do not park their cars in any parking spaces that are used by customers of local businesses. In case of inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled.

Register for this fun family day at Purple Cow Ice Cream, 2685 Main Street, Lawrenceville.
