The Hopewell Valley YMCA is inviting the community to get on course for a cause at the second Annual Tom Jackson Champion Golf Tournament on Monday, Oct. 16.

Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Hopewell Valley Golf and Country Club, with lunch and a shotgun start at 12:30 pm. Registration fees are $175 per golfer and include lunch and a 5:30 p.m. dinner.

The Tom Jackson Golf Tournament is held in honor of Thomas R. Jackson, a longtime Pennington resident and dedicated sports enthusiast. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Hopewell Valley YMCA’s youth sports programs, helping to fund financial aid to families in need of assistance. The tournament also funds one annual youth scholarship award to a high school wrestler in our community.

“The YMCA’s Tom Jackson Sports Fund has helped our Y deliver on our promise to give every Hopewell Valley child a chance to be a champion, regardless of ability to pay,” YMCA board president Ryan Kennedy said. “Our first annual event sold out and then some… a true testament to Tom’s memory, the hard work of our amazing committee and the commitment of the community to our Y’s mission.”

This event is hosted by the Tom Jackson Champion Golf Tournament Committee; Brad Brewster, Jessica Brown, Maureen Conley, Tom DiMuzio, Anne Jackson, Ryan Kennedy, Curtis May, Mary Reuter May, Bob Prewitt, Doug Pszczolkowski and Scott Schaub.

Guests can register online at hvymca.org or calling (609) 737-3048.
