Mercer County’s biggest tiny tots competition is set to make its debut at Quaker Bridge Mall in August.

Radio station 94.5 PST is set to host the first Diaper Derby in the mall’s Center Court, 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23.

The competition consists of local babies participating in heats with the fastest crawler in each heat competing for first, second and third place. Winners in the final heat will receive trophies and prizes, including mall gift cards, tickets to Sesame Street Live, a photography session from Purple Circle Photography and music classes with Kids’ Music Round.

In addition to the race heats, there will be live music, entertainment and giveaways.

Babies must be under the age of 12 months old and still unable to walk to participate.

To register, families may visit the mall’s Simon Guest Services, located on the lower level across from Lord & Taylor or email MMR7705@simon.com. Day-of registrations will also be open for families 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
