Gallery 14 set to display landscapes and still life by Theresa Hood

Gallery 14 is set to open an exhibition by New Jersey photographer Theresa Hood in September.

The exhibition features black and white landscapes as well as still life studies.

Hood’s work has been displayed around the state including the Hunterdon County Library, Mayo Performing Arts Center, Crane’s Mill Gallery and the Watchung Arts Center, where she received an award of merit for her “Shabby Chic” portrait of a house.

Her work has been accepted in the New Jersey Photo Forum Juried Show for the past three years and the Grounds for Sculpture Focus on Sculpture show for two years.

Her solo exhibition “Life Along the River” is currently on display at the Musconetcong Watershed Association Gallery.

Hood is a member of Gallery 14, the Photographic Society of America where she serves as a commentator for their digital study group program on nature and the New Jersey Photography Forum where she serves as co-manager of the exhibition committee and the contemporary arts group.

Additionally, photographer and digital artist, Charles Miller of Ringoes is set to present Waterlilies – Monet’s Flower in the Jay Goodkind Gallery. Images include traditional presentations of photographs along with several alternative images – photographs printed on fabric as large wall hangings, photographs on watercolor paper, macro images.

The exhibit is scheduled to open Sept. 6, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. A Meet The Artists event is set for 1 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 8.

The exhibit is set to run through Oct. 6.

Gallery 14 is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m. and by appointment.

Gallery 14 is a collection of artists dedicated to presenting photography and photographic images as an art form. It currently represents 10 artists and hosts on-going exhibits by its members and invited artists.
