D&R Greenway to launch Second Saturday Walks Sept 12

D&R Greenway Land Trust is set to resume its Second Saturday Walks on September 12, 2015, with a guided walk through the Sourland Mountains from 10 a.m. to noon.

As we say good-bye to summer we welcome the cool crisp weather of fall and the explosion of color nature brings forth, families eager to get outside are invited to join a guided walk of the Sweet Sourland Mountains in East Amwell Saturday, September 12, 2015, 10 a.m. to noon, when D&R Greenway Land Trust resumes its Second Saturday Walks.

D&R Greenway Trustee Betsy Sands will lead the walk on September 12 through the Sourlands Ecosystem Preserve.

This excursion is part of the series of Second Saturday Walks, repeating monthly through December 12, exploring the Secrets of Abbott Marshlands, Wild Natives and Seed Stories of of Hopewell’s Cedar Ridge Preserve and The Birds of Winter in St. Michaels Farm Preserve, Hopewell. Sign up now to join an array of experts on D&R Greenway preserves, and view the plants and creatures who live on and near them.

All walks are free. Sturdy footgear and clothing for outdoor hiking, as well as water for each hiker, is essential. Cameras and binoculars are recommended.
