The New Jersey State Council on the Arts awarded Arts Council of Princeton for the eighth consecutive year.
ACP received a Citation of Excellence and designation of Major Presenting and Service Organization at NJSCA’s annual meeting July 29 at the Wyndham Garden in Trenton.
ACP was awarded a Citation of Excellence for its high standards of excellence in its artistry, operations, governance and public benefit. ACP is one of 33 organizations in the state that received the highest evaluations from the peer panel reviewing this year’s applications for operating support from the NJSCA.
The designation as a Major Presenting and Service Organization was awarded in recognition of the ACP’s history of artistic excellence, substantial programming, and broad public service.
Arts organizations designated as Major Presenting and Service Organizations must also demonstrate statewide leadership in strongly meeting one or more of the priorities by the NJSCA, make a significant and vital contribution to the quality of life in New Jersey, and serve as a strong advocate for the arts.
ACP was one of 20 such designated organizations; it is proud to be one of two Princeton-based arts organizations to receive both a Citation of Excellence and a designation as a Major Organization.
