Based on the model of the athletic decathlon, the competition required participants to compete in 10 academic subjects, including art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, science, social science, and speech. The 2006 super quiz topic was “The European Renaissance: Renewal and Reform.”

Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded for individual events and total scores in each of the three levels of competition — honors, scholastic, and varsity. Yu took gold in the honors level. For more information visit www.adnj.org.
