West Windsor-Plainsboro schools earned top places in the New Jersey State Mathcounts Competition with participation of 10 teams and close to 54 individuals. Three of the four students on the New Jersey team competing at the National Competition to be held in Arlington, Virginia in May are from the district.##M:[more]##

Final individual standings included first place, Daesun Yim, Community Middle School; second place, Michael Wu, Grover Middle School; and third place, Ming-Ming Tran, Grover.

Daesun Yim is a three-time winner, an extremely rare occurrence where a student makes the national team in sixth to eighth grades. He will be recognized for this achievement at the awards banquet.

Other top scorers include Daniel Xia, 8th place, Grover; Yiqing Kong, 17th place, Community; Michael Cao, 29th place, Grover; Anant Gharpure, 27th place, Community; and Atharv Vaish, 45th place, Community.

Team standings include second place, Community Middle School; and third place, Grover Middle School.
