The Trenton Free Public Library is presenting an exhibition of the A-TEAM in the library’s Mezzanine Gallery through the end of the year. Pieces will change monthly.

According to organizers, “The A-TEAM produces powerful, imaginative, and spiritually unique work in this opening show of 41 pieces. The works embody the rich essence of the A-TEAM in its entirety, and are diverse in media, subject, and content. The artworks evoke an intangible interaction with the viewer that transports one into the vision of the creator. Some capture the raw street life of the inner city; others are more introspective such as jazz singers, family gatherings, and plein air scenes.”

Several A-TEAM artists had previously collaborated with printmaker and painter Zenna Broomer on a large group work, “US-A-TEAM,” for a show at the New Jersey State Museum. That work is on permanent display in the Mezzanine Gallery and can be viewed during the main show.

Trenton Free Public Library, 120 Academy Street. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 609-392-7188 or www.trentonlib.org.
