The West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Association is holding a month-long donation drive in October to support its student scholarship fund.

Donations may be dropped off Oct. 1–31 at Ameritex Industries, 39 Everett Drive in Princeton Junction, near the Clarksville Road firehouse.

Collection hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

After hours, items can be placed on the front porch or in truck #4 behind the building. All bags or boxes must be labeled “WWPEA” for the contributions to be counted toward the drive.

Accepted donations include clothing, shoes, accessories such as handbags, belts, and scarves, linens like sheets and towels, toys, electronics, bicycles, tools, utensils, new diapers and other small household items.

Items not accepted include books, furniture, pillows, curtains, large items, yard sale merchandise, and damaged goods with holes, stains, mold or odor.

According to the association, donations will be sent to low-income regions in the U.S. and abroad where supplies are in high demand. Proceeds from the effort will benefit the WW-P scholarship fund.

“The members of the WWPEA thank the public in advance for its help and support so that we are able to continue the scholarship program,” the group said in its announcement.
