RWOMC accepting Washington, D.C. internship applications

The Republican Women of Mercer County are accepting applications for a summer internship in Washington D.C.

The Kabis Memorial Internship Program is offered by RWOMC’s affiliation the National Federation of Republican Women. The internship is names Dorothy Andrews Kabis who was appointed Treasurer of the United States by President Richard Nixon and served as president of NFRW.

Three selected applicants will have the opportunity to intern at NFRW’s headquarters for six weeks. The internship provides housing, round trip airfare and a monetary allowance.

Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, college student and at least 21-years-old. Qualifications include an interest in politics, knowledge of government, and campaign experience.

Applications must include the completed form (found on RWOMC’s website) three letters of recommendation, an official copy of the applicant’s college transcript, one typed essay, and an optional photograph.

Completed application packages must be submitted to the RWOMC, PO Box 901, Pennington by February 18.

The State Federation President will choose one application from New Jersey to submit to the national organization. The internship winners will be selected by the NRFW’s Executive Committee.
