Local athletes excel in trampoline and tumbling

Twelve athletes from the Motion Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling Team in Pennington qualified for the national championship competitions following the New Jersey State Tumbling & Trampoline Championships held in April.

Next the team will be going to Regional Championships in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the Junior Olympics National Championships in Spokane, Washington and the US Championships in Louisville Kentucky.

Among the qualifiers for the Junior Olympic Nationals are Sophia Sharma of Princeton and Amanda Long of Titusville. Qualifiers for the US Championships include Katie Prikril of Lawrenceville, Nicole Kedoin of West Windsor, Elijah Meisel of Princeton, Nikki Pawar of Lawrenceville and Hailey Zaggi of Ewing.

Sharma is the Girls State Tumbling Champion, Level 6, age group 11-12 and the Girls State Trampoline Champion, Level 7, age group 11-12.

Prikril is the Girls State Tumbling Champion, Level 9, age group 11-12.

Kedoin is the Girls State Tumbling Champion, Level 9, age group 13-14.

Meisel is the Boys State Tumbling Champion, Level 9, age group 15+ and Boys State Trampoline Champion, Level 9, age group 15+.
