The City of Trenton and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission have released “Our Streets: A Trenton Bike Plan for All,” a comprehensive guide to improving bicycle infrastructure throughout the city.

The report outlines the background, purpose and goals of the bike plan, existing conditions in Trenton, community engagement efforts, and details about the recommended citywide bike network.

The plan calls for building a network of on-road bike facilities that emphasize safety, comfort and separation from motor vehicles. The goal is to create a bike-friendly city that meets the needs of all residents.

“This plan builds on Trenton’s existing complete streets and road safety efforts, including the Trenton Complete Streets Design Handbook, the Complete and Green Streets Ordinance (2022), and the formation of the City of Trenton’s Safe Streets for All Committee,” the city said in a statement.

A project video overview is available online, with Spanish subtitles accessible through YouTube’s caption feature.

A Spanish-language executive summary of the plan is also available.
