A retrospective exhibit of the work of Jon Naar is planned for a Jan. 19 opening at the New Jersey State Museum.

Part of the New Jersey Artist Series, Jon Naar: Signature Photography will include 62 works by the Trenton resident. The images chosen by museum curator Margaret O’Reilly spans seven decades of the artist’s work.

Naar’s photography runs the gamut from architecture to art; photojournalism to portraiture. The London native has photographed many notables over the years, including Andy Warhol and has had his work published in leading magazines.

His images have been exhibited in museums in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, Zurich and elsewhere.

Also an author, Naar has authored or co-authored a dozen books on art, environmentalism and other topics.

The exhibit runs through May 5. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Phone: (609) 292-6464. Web: newjerseystatemuseum.org.
