The Robbinsville Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2025 Adult Citizens Police Academy

The academy is a seven-week program aimed at fostering transparency and strengthening community relations.

The academy will give participants firsthand insight into the department’s operations through classroom instruction, interactive presentations and a scheduled patrol ride-along.

The program will cover the roles, responsibilities, technology and specialized units within the department.

At the conclusion, attendees are expected to have a greater awareness of the services provided by police and a deeper understanding of how officers serve and protect the community.

The academy will meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., beginning with orientation on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The program is open to Robbinsville residents age 21 and older. A background check is required, and class size is limited to 20 participants. No physical fitness activity will be involved.

Applications are due by Aug. 28. Questions can be directed to Lt. Scott Kivet at skivet@robbinsville.net or Lt. Thomas Egan at tegan@robbinsville.net.
