The Princeton Senior Resource Center is set to kick off its 2016 Special Speaker Series with a special program on Tuesday, January 12 at 6 p.m. The free program will be held in the Suzanne Patterson Building located at 45 Stockton Street in Princeton and is co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library.

Jane Gore, MBA, of Insight Financial Services will lead a panel of experts from the banking, financial planning, legal and insurance sectors in an in-depth look at creating a strategic plan with personal financial circumstances and goals at its cornerstone.

Event panelists are drawn from local businesses and firms with long associations among the Princeton community. The evening will cover the full spectrum of financial considerations, from managing family finances and designating beneficiaries, to legal planning, long term care insurance options, and the potholes and other obstacles that can arise if you don’t have a plan.

Panelists include: Lucia Stegaru, Vice President and Branch Manager of the Nassau Street Branch of PNC Bank, who has more than 20 years of experience working closely with area customers and has a special interest in women-centered organizations as well as other non-profits; Eleanore “Elly” Szymanski, a Certified Financial Planner and founder of EKS Associates, LLC and The Financial Planning Answerplace, LLC, where for decades she pioneered and developed comprehensive Financial Life Plans. Szymanski was also the keynote speaker at PSRC’s Fall Conference on a related subject: “Getting Your Ducks in A Row So You Can Get on with Your Bucket List.” Jay La Malfa, from Insight Private Investors, LLC, specializes in the active phase of planning and executing retirement strategy as well as individual, family and estate planning. He will describe annuity options available on the market.

Two PSRC board members will also be on the panel: Fiona Van Dyck, whose eponymous law office specializes in Estate Planning; and Dave Saltzman, whose eponymous insurance office specializes in long term care, disability and life insurance.

Jane Gore, the panel facilitator, has been in the financial services industry for 25 years. She has focused her career on providing options to all aspects of her clients’ financial lives including asset allocation, retirement planning and college planning. Prior to joining Insight Financial Services in 2013, she was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Princeton. Jane also serves on PSRC’s Board of Trustees.

Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of Brookdale Senior Living. Registration is recommended by calling (609) 924-7108. In the event of inclement weather, visit princetonsenior.org for programming updates.
