Photographer set to talk Feb. 13

Photographer Stephen Perloff is scheduled to speak at a Princeton Photography Club meeting Feb. 13.

The meeting is set for 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at D&R Greenway’s Johnson Education Center, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton.

Perloff is the founder and editor of The Photo Review and the editor of The Photograph Collector.

He will present, “20 Years of Schooling and They Put Me on the Day Shift, or How I Became a Photographer, Started The Photo Review, and Forgot to Get a Real Job.” During his talk, Perloff will show images taken throughout his career, including his re-photographic project in Philadelphia, his documentary on Centralia, Pa., and previously unseen color work from the 1960s-’80s.

Perloff teaches photography and the history of photography at Philadelphia-area colleges and universities and has been the recipient of two grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for arts criticism.
