The New Jersey Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is set to hold its annual Light the Night Walk in five different New Jersey Locations including Princeton on October 17, 2015. Light The Night raises significant funds for cancer research and unites communities in the fight against blood cancer.

Light The Night Walks occur each year in communities across the United States and Canada in the autumn. Teams of coworkers, friends and families come together for the walk at twilight to carry an illuminated balloon. White balloons are carried by survivors and patients, red balloons are for supports, and gold balloons are carried in memory of a loved one.

This family-friendly event includes music, food and entertainment. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and opening ceremonies begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. The Walk will commence immediately following opening ceremonies.

To register, visit lighthenight.org/nj. Walkers who raise at least $100 will be considered a Champion for the Cures, which grants them access to food and refreshments, a Light The Night t-shirt and a trademark illuminated lantern.

To find out more about the Light the Night Walk, contact the New Jersey Chapter at (908) 956-6642 or visit lightthenight.org/nj.
