St. Ann School fifth graders Alex Hermann, Caitlyn Eastmead and Otto Taylor work on their computer science skills.

Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg virtually visited St. Ann School during Computer Science Education Week in December.

From Dec. 9 to 15, students participated in Hour of Code, a campaign to prove that regardless of age, race or gender, anyone can learn how to not just consume, but build the technologies of the future.

Kindergarten through eighth grade students spent one hour doing online tutorials featuring Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Angry Birds.

St. Ann School teachers have included coding in its curriculum for the last 12 years.
