Slackwood School’s Peer Mediation Program is up and running for the 2014-15 school year.

Third grade students applied for the job through their September guidance lesson about conflict resolution. This year, nine students will be sacrificing recess each week to learn the skills of becoming a Mediator. Once prepared, they will present skits to fellow students to help them understand what a mediation involves. They will then be qualified to conduct mediations, as needed, to help their peers resolve disputes.

The following students were chosen as Mediators for the 2014-15 school year: Kajol Naik, Javier Jurado, Mit Patel, Pardise Malkin, Victoria Ortega, Jose Rustrian, Malika Little, Oliwia Dapkun and Daylin Mejia.
