Inside Jersey magazine named Doctors Pauline Lerma of Lawrence and Thomas Kearney of Princeton to its “Top Doctor for Women’s Health” list.

The doctors specialize in breast cancer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.

Lerma, MD, is the Medical Director of the Breast Consultation Program at RWJ Hamilton’s cancer center, the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton.

Kearney, MD, FACS, is the Director of Breast Care Services at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. A renowned surgeon, Kearney treats patients in New Brunswick and Hamilton.

Each year, Inside Jersey releases a list of the state’s top physicians devoted to women’s healthcare. Under the direction of Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., which publishes America’s Top Doctors, peer nominations are reviewed and assessed by a physician-led research team.

Attributes considered include board certification, medical education, training, hospital appointments, years in practice and other criteria. Thousands of physicians and other healthcare professionals from across the state were asked to take part in the nomination process, resulting in the selection of 226 doctors for this year’s honor.
