Rider University to conduct 9/11 flag-lowering ceremony

Rider University will conduct a flag-lowering ceremony to commemorate the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 on Monday at the plaza in front of Moore Library. The ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m.

President Gregory G. Dell’Omo will be joined by local police, fire and EMS departments, as well as representatives of the university’s Student Government Association to place a memorial wreath at the campus flag.

Members of the fire department will assist with ringing a symbolic bell as the university reads the names of the Rider alumni who lost their lives on September 11. A Rider student will perform the National Anthem.
