Rider Theatre to present “The Praying Mantis” April 8 to April 12

Director Trent Blanton to present Rider Theatre’s April production of The Praying Mantis.

Rider Theatre is set to present Alejandro Sieveking’s play “The Praying Mantis” at Rider University’s Yvonne Theater April 8 through 12. The theatre is located at 2038 Lawrenceville Road in Lawrenceville.

A preview performance will be Wednesday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m., and performances will be Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m. The production, directed by Trent Blanton, will be performed by Rider University students.

In its regional premiere, The Praying Mantis is the story of four spinster sisters and the dark secret hidden behind a locked door in their sinister mansion. With the arrival of a new boyfriend, the true nature of the sisters and the horrible secrets behind the door are revealed.

Tickets for “The Praying Mantis” performances are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and can be purchased at the door, through the box office at (609) 896-7775 or online at rider.edu/arts. General admission preview tickets are $9 and are only available at the door.
