Historian David Price will present a lecture on the pivotal “Ten Crucial Days” campaign of the Revolutionary War at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System.

The free program draws from Price’s book Winning the Ten Crucial Days, which examines the decisive 1776–77 winter campaign in which General George Washington led Continental forces through a series of surprise maneuvers and victories in Trenton and Princeton.

According to Price, a Lawrence Township resident, the events were shaped by a combination of leadership, geography, weather, artillery, and circumstance—factors that ultimately altered the course of the war and secured the young nation’s future.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library and will take place at 2751 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville. While walk-ins are welcome, advanced registration is appreciated and can be completed online at mcl.org via the library’s LibCal system.

For more information, call the Lawrence Headquarters Branch at 609-883-8292 or email lawprogs@mcl.org.

The Friends of the Lawrence Library is a volunteer-run organization that supports library programming, including guest speakers, workshops, contests and crafts for adults and children.
