Princeton Day School presents Indian modern art exhibit Oct. 14 through Nov. 14

Princeton Day School’s Anne Reid ‘72 Art Gallery will display exhibit “Confluence: Contemporary Indian Art,” curated by Meena Dadha, from Oct. 14 through Nov. 14.

The collection features an eclectic compilation of pieces that, together, represent the wide scope of Indian modern art. It was brought to the United States by Ms. Dadha of Prakrit Arts, Chennai, India.

Featured artists include M. Senathipathi, Suhas Roy and Deepak Madhukar Sonar, Dilip Chaudhury and T. Vaikuntam.

There will be an opening reception and informal conversation about Indian culture, led by Sumit Ganguli, on Sat. Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The exhibition is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday when the school is in session, and by appointment on weekends. For more information about the Gallery, call Jody Erdman, Art Gallery Director, at 924-6700 extension 1772 or visit pds.org.
