The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System will kick off the holiday weekend with a free concert by the Southside Wanderers on Thursday, July 3, at 6:30 p.m.

The high-energy New Jersey band returns to Lawrenceville with a setlist blending patriotic favorites like America the Beautiful and God Bless the USA with summer classics including Summertime and Summer in the City.

The concert will be held at the library’s main location at 2751 Brunswick Pike. Organizers encourage attendees to register in advance at www.mcl.org using LibCal.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library, the program is part of the group’s ongoing efforts to support seasonal events, live music, guest speakers, book sales and children’s activities.
