Lawrenceville Lukoil wins little league championship

Lawrenceville Lukoil defeated Carroll’s Christmas Tree Farm in the Lawrence Little League Southwestern Championship game June 15.

The game was called after three and a half innings because of the league’s ten-run rule. The final score was 12-1.

Lukoil pitchers John Gunton and Colm Corcoran only allowed one run in four innings.

All ten Lukoil players had hits.
