Lawrence Library seeks entries for countywide Trashed Art Contest

The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System is seeking entries for its 6th Annual Trashed Art Contest.

The purpose of the contest is to encourage people to look at trash differently and repurpose items destined to for the landfill into something artful.

The contest is open to adults and students in grades 7 through 12 who reside in Mercer County.

The deadline for entries is April 1. Entries must be delivered to the Lawrence Headquarters Branch Library located at 2751 Brunswick Pike before 5 p.m.

All accepted entries will be publicly displayed at the library.

Entries will be judged on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22 and winners will be notified by phone or email. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in both adult and student categories.
