Theatre To Go and Pierrot Productions are set to present The 39 Steps at Kelsey Theatre.

The 39 Steps is Patrick Barlow’s comical adaption of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 classic mystery thriller film.

During the play, a cast of four actors attempt to re-enact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock’s film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes.

Leading man Richard Hannay meets a mysterious woman at a London music hall who asks for his help in uncovering a spy ring and thus entangles him in a web of murder, espionage and intrigue which keeps him running from the authorities to uncover the truth about “The 39 Steps.”

The 39 Steps is produced by Pete LaBriola of Pennington and Ruth Markoe of Lawrenceville, who also directs.

The cast features Casey Woods of Sayreville as Richard Hannay, Mariel Rosati of Ivyland, Pa., Andrew James Gordon of West Windsor and Jennifer Barron of Hamilton.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Jan. 31, Feb.1, 7 and 8; and 2 p.m. Feb. 2 and 9.

Tickets are $18 adults, $16 seniors and $14 children and students.

Several special events are scheduled during the run.

An opening nigh Gala and reception is set for Jan. 31 in the lobby after the show.

Audience members will have the opportunity to ask the cast and creative team members during a Talk Back, scheduled for Feb. 7 after the show.

“The First Pete LaBriola Annual and Last Ever Alfred Hitchcock Look Alike Contest” is scheduled for Feb. 8. Audience members are invited to appear in with their best Alfred Hitchcock impersonation.

Kelsey Theater is located on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
