Covering all your Insurance needs

Throughout the more than 30 years that the Auletta Insurance Agency has been in business, owner Joe Auletta has seen the neighborhood grow and change.

Where he was once surrounded by just a few homes and open fields, he is now surrounded by numerous homes and specifically designated areas for office complexes. But Auletta has remained at the same location, which now sticks out from the bunch.

The office is located in what should be a regular home. It’s right next door to other normal Lawrence Township homes, but it has certain details that make any passerby take a second look. From the outside the home appears larger than most, is professionally decorated and has an unusual driveway with space for a number of vehicles.

And while the outer community may have changed, the insurance agency has done it’s best to stay in touch with the needs of its clients, while offering the same individual service with a personal touch and competitive rates they have since the beginning.

Today, Auletta, born and raised in Lawrence, said the company serves generations of clients. There are also generations of Aulettas in the office. One of Auletta’s daughters, Jessica Auletta-DeSantis, works as the customer service representative. Auletta said he remembers when Jessica along with her sister used to run around the office playing games as young children. It was easy for them to do so, since they lived next door.

“It was nice living here because I could see my family,” Auletta said. “The kids were able to come out.”

The office location allowed the Auletta family to always have dinner together. Auletta still lives next door today as well.

The independent agency represents 15 different companies in a wide range of personal or commercial insurance industries including auto, homeowner, life, commercial liability, builders risk and more.

The agency first began as part of Nationwide in 1975, but in 1977 it became its own company.

The Auletta Agency deals with clients as people, rather than accounts, he said.

“We have the opportunity to find out a little bit about you and see what your thoughts and ideas are, and where you’re heading in your own life. And then we can sit there and work up some ideas and plans to fit where you are in your life,” he said.

The agency tries to find options that best suit the customer, he said.

His staff has also been with him for many years, which is another asset, he said.

“I have a dedicated and loyal staff,” he said. “They know the customers, which makes the transactions run smoother.”

The agency is located on 2910 Princeton Pike. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lunch break between 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. For more information, go online to aulettaagency.com or call (609) 883-5517.
