Watershed Association appoints new directors

The Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association announced the appointment of two new directors on March 28.

Kevin Walsh is set to be organization’s inaugural deputy director and Carol Christofferson is set to take over as director of development and major gifts.

As deputy director, Walsh will function as the chief operating and financial operator of the Watershed Association.

He has 19 years of experience directing and developing community programs in the non-profit sector, most recently with the Princeton Family YMCA serving as senior program director of operations.

Before his time at the YMCA, Walsh spent 14 years at the Catholic Youth Organization of Mercer County as their director of youth services.

As director of development and major gifts, Christofferson will provide develop philanthropic relationships throughout central New Jersey in support of the Watershed’s mission. She will also be responsible for annual support from individuals, corporations, and foundations, as well as special events and membership.

Prior to her appointment, she served seven years as the director of development for Princeton-Blairstown Center of Princeton University.

The Watershed Association aims to protect central New Jersey’s water and environment through conservation, advocacy, science and education.
