Hopewell Valley sets the standard in Penn Relays

but too significant to escape belated mention is the record-setting performance by a celebrated quartet of HoVal boys’ track stars, who turned heads at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia in April.

The distance medley relay team of Teddy Meredith, Amos Barnes, Tim Dolan and Sean Dolan won their event with a time of 9:57.77, which still stands as the fastest in the country right now for the DMR this season.

They were the first students from a Mercer County school to win at the Penn Relays since students from Trenton did it in 1978.
