On October 14, 2015, Hopewell Elementary, along with schools across the nation, celebrated Kiwi Magazine’s National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day. More than 250 parents joined their children at Hopewell Elementary School for a special lunch.

Families dined al fresco near the school’s primary garden. Hopewell Elementary School featured a meal from their new organic menu: build-your-own homemade taco cups with organic grilled chicken and toppings, served with fresh organic strawberries. Local produce, including apples, string beans and apple cider, was offered to interested families for sampling, compliments of Pomptonian, the district’s food provider.

Representatives from Kiwi Magazine were present to take photographs and live tweet throughout the day. Students from Hopewell Elementary School’s Garden Club offered the special guests a tour of their gardens, brand-new puddle garden and greenhouse.

Kiwi Magazine helps parents to raise children in the healthiest way possible. The magazine features the safest and most nutritious food choices, family wellness tips, practical travel destinations and fun environmental education projects.
