Gallery 14 is set to feature art by Charles T. Miller and Martha Weintraub Jan. 4 through Feb 3.

Miller is a photographer, abstractionist and digital artist from Ringoes. His work has been exhibited at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton.

He has earned the Award of Excellence and the Award of Merit at NJ Photography Forum’s annual juried shows.

The exhibition is set to feature work from Miller’s new series of abstractions Zen Versions and Iris Dancers, and selected works from Miller’s collection.

Miller said Zen Versions is a group of work that takes fireworks bombs and converts them into images reminiscent of Asian block prints, calligraphy and pen & ink sketches. Each image begins as a traditional fireworks explosion and is altered through photographic inversions, texturing, coloration and other manipulations.

In Miller’s other series, images begin as pictures of Iris and other flowers and are then manipulated into images of movement and bright colors.

The Jay Goodkind Gallery at Gallery 14 is set ti exhibit Cannas in Black and White by Martha Weintraub, a series of works that focuses on the textures and shapes of the Canna plant and flower.

The exhibition is set to open Jan. 4 with a reception from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. An opportunity to meet the artists is set for Jan. 6 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Gallery 14 is open Saturday through Sunday from 12 to 5:00 p.m.

Gallery 14 is located at 14 Mercer Street in Hopewell.
