Arun Gandhi speaks with student Luis Mena at The Pennington School.

On Tuesday, April 7, Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mohandas K. “Mahatma” Gandhi, spoke to the Pennington School community in two different presentations. Gandhi’s visit was part of the Stephen Crane Lecture Series during school’s Diversity Week program.

Gandhi spoke on “Life and Time with Gandhi: Lessons from Grandfather.” The same evening, he addressed parents, faculty and members of the local community in the Stainton Hall Lecture Center about “Being the Change: What Can I Do?” Following each talk, Gandhi took questions from the audience, and students had opportunities to spend more time with him at a community lunch and during class.

Arun Gandhi is an activist, author and agent of change. He travels all over the world to share the lessons he learned from his grandfather about justice and nonviolence.
