Marriott has introduced plans to build a 120-room hotel on Route 130 in Hamilton.

If approved, the Residence Inn will become the third hotel in the community. The Hamilton Township Zoning Board is scheduled to review the plans at a public meeting Oct. 8.

The project also becomes the second extended-stay suite hotel plan to be introduced this year in Hamilton, following plans for a Homewood Suites extended stay that were announced in the spring.

Slated for the north bound side of Route 130 next to the Shoppes at Hamilton, the 96,000 square foot hotel would feature amenities for extended stay travelers, including suites with separate living and sleeping areas, fully-equipped in-suite kitchens and a grocery delivery service available for guests.

Additionally, the Residence Inn would include an indoor pool and fitness center, an outdoor sport court, swimming pool and barbecue area, along with complimentary evening socials.
