Hamilton Township to host Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony

Hamilton Township is set to host its annual September 11 remembrance ceremony at Memorial Grove inside Veterans Park.

The ceremony is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Memorial Grove near the Klockner Road entrance of the park.

The ceremony is set to include the participation of Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly A. Yaede, Fire Chief Mark Antozzeski, Col. (Ret.) Frank Caprario of the Hamilton Township Patriotic Committee, Father Ian Trammell of St. Gregory the Great Parish, the Hamilton Township Police and Fire Honor Guards, the Hamilton Township Fire Department Pipe & Drum Band and several other members of Hamilton’s Police, Fire and Emergency Management personnel communities.

Additionally, the Steinert High School Select Choir, under the direction of Richard Schneider, will perform as part of the ceremony.

Hamilton’s Memorial Grove area contains a steel beam from the World Trade Center that was officially unveiled at Hamilton’s 10th anniversary of September 11 remembrance ceremony, as well as a firefighter monument and a memorial to the Hamilton residents lost on September 11, 2001.

Seating is limited, the township encourages attendees to arrive early or bring lawn chairs.
