Hamilton students win drug awareness poster contest

The Hamilton Elks, in conjunction with the Hamilton Alliance Against Substance Abuse, awarded winners of their drug awareness poster contest May 17.

About 400 fifth grade township students entered the contest. The Elks and HAASA selected 28 total winners and treated their families to a luncheon following the award ceremony.

Eight first place winners were presented with $50 checks.

First place winners are Liam Paulino (Alexander School), Lucas Simms (University Heights School), Hazel Kate Cox (Mercerville School), Olena MyKhaylyshyn (Lalor School), Jasmine Michelle Suozzo (Kisthardt School), Claire Asuncion (McGalliard School), Anthony Malagrino (Robinson School) and Isabella Dinatale (Morgan School).
