Shawn Monforte of Hamilton won the $3,000 grand prize in Villa Italian Kitchen’s Holiday Wish & Win Sweepstakes.
Villa Italian Kitchen is one of the brands of Villa Enterprises, a global multi-brand restaurant operator and franchiser.
Monforte plans to use the winnings to pay for a service dog to provide therapy for his 16-year-old son, Nate, who suffers from Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura, a life threatening autoimmune blood disorder. His body does not have enough platelets that help stop bleeding and very little is known about the illness.
