Hamilton Elks awards essay contest winners

The Hamilton Elks recently sponsored an Americanism essay contest on the subject “What does the Pledge of Allegiance mean to me?” The contest was open to students in grades five to eight and 150 essays were submitted.

Division I winners in fifth and sixth grades included Alyssa Walsh of Alexander School and Erin Stout and Christine Martin of Trenton Catholic Academy. Division II winners in seventh and eight grades included Breanna Wade and Ethan Rivera from Trenton Catholic Academy.
