Hamilton Elks award essay contest winners

Hamilton Elks awarded its Americanism essay contest winners May 8.

The elks challenged fifth through eighth grade students to answer, “what does Veteran’s Day mean to me?”. One-hundred students submitted essays.

Division I, open to fifth and sixth graders, winners are Mercerville students Archit Baliga and Dylan Pidcock and Trenton Catholic Academy student Paula Narvaez.

Division II, for seventh and eighth graders, winners are Trenton Catholic Academy students Adrian Holmes, Morgan Rhodes and Morgan West.

First-place winners received $100, second place won $75 and third place won $50.
