The Trenton Community Music School is expanding its offerings to include classes on Saturdays.

Half-hour lessons for kindergartners to senior citizens are scheduled for Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at its second location Ewing Presbyterian Church, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing.

TCMS also teaches lessons on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 716 Bellvue Ave., Trenton.

Saturday lessons are set to be available in Trenton as well as Ewing.

The school offers lessons in guitar, piano, bass, clarinet, saxophone and voice.

TCMS executive director, Marcia Wood, said by providing classes on Saturdays more students will be able to participate.

“We want to ensure that we keep our lesson offerings accessible and affordable. With our Tuesday schedule quickly filling, offering lessons on Saturday became extremely important for us,” Wood said in a statement.

Since1998, the nonprofit music education institution has provided affordable music classes to children, youth, and adults within the Trenton community. Its mission is to be an important resource for music education within the greater Trenton community, offering high quality instruction and performance opportunities for both children and adults.
