Pennington Dance to perform on Pennington Day May 16

The Pennington Dance Company is set to perform for Pennington Day on Saturday, May 16 from 12 to 12:45 p.m. The performance will take place at the “Crossroads” intersection of Main Street and Curlis Avenue in Pennington.

The Company’s 45-minute program will include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and pre-school dance numbers to Broadway, swing, Motown, classical and Latin music.

More than 75 dancers ranging in age from 4 to 18 years old will perform. Choreographers include Pennington Dance teachers Taylor Miller, Jenny Gladney, Ashley Miller, and Nancy Warner. Student choreographed piece will be performed by Arielle Kline and Alastair Donofrio.

Pennington Dance is celebrating its 35th year inspiring dancers. The Company has performed for Pennington Day since its inception in 1980. The nonprofit dance troupe, under the direction of Nancy Warner, offers young dancers the opportunity to experiment with their own choreography and to have additional performance experiences beyond the annual recital. The Company performs annually for residential nursing homes and the Pennington Business and Professional Association’s Holiday Walk. The Company has also performed for the Lambertville Shad Festival and the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parades.
