PEAC to display women and flowers exhibition in June

This June, PEAC Health & Fitness is set to display original works of art from local painters Patricia Butt and Janet Purcell.

Butt and Purcell met while studying art and have been long time friends. The theme for this joint exhibit is women and flowers.

Patricia Butt studied the art of oil and watercolor. She uses painting as her personal form of self-expression.

Butt has exhibited her artwork in regional galleries and shows, including in Princeton, New York City and New Hope, Pa. Her work has also appeared in local publications and she has commissioned work for private collectors.

She is a member of the Princeton Art Association and the Tri County Art Association. Ms. Butt resides in East Brunswick, NJ.

Janet Purcell has been a painter her entire adult life and gains inspiration from her travels through Cape Cod and the Jersey shore.

Purcell’s work has been exhibited extensively in galleries and companies throughout the region, including Princeton, Hopewell, Langhorne, Pa. and Baltimore, Md.

She is affiliated with ARTSBRIDGE in Lambertville and Trenton Artists Workshop Association.

In addition to painting, Purcell is a writer and journalist. She writes a weekly fine arts column and Arts & Leisure features for The Times of Trenton, NJ, interior design articles for DesignNJ, and freelances to various other publications.

She has written two novels; Singer Lane and The Long Way Home.

PEAC’s art is on display for its members and the public at its location, 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.
