PEAC to celebrate Senior Health and Fitness Day

To help promote health and wellness for the older population, PEAC Health & Fitness is set to celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day.

This year’s national theme is “Make a Move Toward Better Health.”

PEAC’s event, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. May 28, includes friendly competition, healthy snacks and age-related resources for PEAC’s senior citizen members and their guests. Attendees can participate in relay races and games.

Nutrition and Wellness coach Kelsey Eichlin is set to will provide healthy food samples and attendees can bring a lunch item and recipe to share.

A number of complimentary health screenings are scheduled, including balance screenings from Robert Wood Johnson Health System, hearing screenings by Capital Health Systems and Blood Pressure screenings by Kasey Reid, RN.

Representatives from Brandywine Senior Living, Care One of Ewing, Hopewell Valley Senior Center, Senior Care Management, and Stony Brook Golf Club will be available to answer questions and offer their resources.

PEAC is located at 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.
