The Ewing Pool Sharks team was recently honored at the Central Jersey Senior Billiards League annual awards dinner for their 2017-2018 season performance.

The league is made up of 11, 15-person, teams from senior centers around the Central Jersey region. All teams play one home and one away match against the other teams in the league for a total of 20 matches in the season.

This was the Sharks’ inaugural season and they not only won the league title, but did so by going undefeated with a perfect 20-0 record. This was the first perfect record recorded in the league.

The Sharks finished 54 points ahead of the second place team, Piscataway, 207–153. Piscataway had won the league title for the past four consecutive seasons.

The Sharks play out of the Ewing Senior and Community Center at 999 Lower Ferry Road. The facility boasts three eight-foot tables and two nine-foot pro tables. Interested area seniors are invited to come and check out the Sharks’ domain. The 2018–2019 season starts in October.
