DanceVision set to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Dancers rehearse A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

DanceVision Performance Company is set to present Risa Kaplowitz’s ballet interpretation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on May 3 and May 4.

The show is based on the eponymous Shakespearean comedy and set to a score by Mendelssohn.

Rickey Flagg II will perform the role of Lysander and Joshua Henry will perform the role of Demetrius. Flagg and Henry are both trainees at the Dance Theatre of Harlem Professional Training Program.

After intermission, DanceVision will also perform Graduation Ball, a ballet about a group of male cadets invited to a dance at a girls’ school, with original choreography by David Lichine.

Performances will be held on May 3rd at 7 p.m. and May 4 at 2 p.m. at The College of New Jersey’s Kendall Main Stage Theater located at 2000 Pennington Road, Ewing.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students, children and seniors.
