Seniors sign Letters of Intent

On Feb. 6, two student athletes from Bordentown Regional High School signed their National Letter of Intent.

Alexis McTamney will be taking her soccer talents to Monmouth University and Kelly Yanucil will continue to throw the javelin at Mount Saint Mary’s.

McTamney broke several BRHS records this season, including being the first soccer player to score more than 100 goals in a career, scoring 58 goals in a single season, and scoring the most career goals with 124. At the state level, she was the NJ 2012 Scoring Leader and Goal Leader.

Her other accomplishments include: 4 year varsity starter, 4 year All Conference, 4 year NJGSCA honoree, 2 year All South Jersey, 2012 Central Jersey Top Twenty, 2012 All State Top Twenty, 2012 Regional All American, and 2012 NSCAA High School All American (1 of 3 girls selected from NJ and 1 of 84 girls selected in the country).

Yanucil went 121-8 in the Javelin at 2012 NJSIAA Meet of Champions, placing 6th; 110-7 in the Discus at NJSIAA Group Championships 2, 3 & NP B, placing 6th; achieved a PR of 136-5 in the Javelin at NJSIAA Group Championships 2, 3 & NP B, placing second; went 131-3 in the Javelin at NJSIAA Sectional Championships – Central: Gr. 2, 3, placing first; went 107-6 in the Discus at NJSIAA Sectional Championships – Central: Gr. 2, 3, placing first; and placed first back to back years in Javelin and Discus at NJSIAA Sectional Championships CJ Group II.
