Renaisance Faire to continue June 8 and 9

More than 1500 people came to Liberty Lake to attend the first weekend of the N.J. Renaissance Faire.

Entertainment at the Faire is based on the legendary William Wallace and his struggles with King Edward of England.

The Faire features the Noble Cause Joust, Lords of Adventure sword fighting show, the Mad Mechanicals, aerialist Shelli Buttons, the One Man Sideshow Dave Darwin, and numerous other singers, dancers, musical acts.

In addition to the entertainment, there is a merchant village includes 60 vendors selling an array of handcrafted products such as glass blower Jason Klein, whose works have appeared in the Hobbit and Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

The Faire is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 8 and 9 at Liberty Lake, 1195 Florence-Columbus Rd., Bordentown.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for children age 5 to 12 years old and free for children 4 years old and under.
