Bordentown City awarded sustainability certification

Sustainable Jersey awarded Bordentown City its silver level certification for 2013.

The organization approved Bordentown City’s certification application which included 39 sustainable actions in 20 categories for a total of 390 points.

Bordentown City also won the 2013 Sustainability Champion Award in the small municipality category.

Certified municipalities, small grant recipients and other special award winners will be recognized are scheduled to be honored at the New Jersey League of Municipalities Conference Nov. 9.

The next Bordentown City Green Team meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at Carslake Community Center.
